Company updated its Amazon tablet Kindle Fire, introducing third-generation tablet Kindle Fire HDX and an updated model of the second generation tablet Kindle Fire HD with 7 inch screen.
Recall, the first company released the Kindle Fire in November 2011, then, in September 2012, went on sale the second generation Kindle Fire – Kindle Fire HD, with a 7 inch screen, and two months later – with a screen 8.9 inches.
New Kindle Fire HDX is built on a completely new hardware platform and running the new version of the operating system – Fire OS 3.0, – based on Android Jelly Bean. The new system, according to the developer, contains more than 100 new features. Nevertheless, access to Google Play it still does not provide. In the OS is browser Silk with the compression of traffic.
Kindle Fire HDX contains twice the number of cores and double the memory compared to the Kindle Fire HD. It is equipped with a 4-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor 800 with a frequency of 2.2 GHz and a new graphics engine that provides three times more performance than the previous generation of the tablet.
Kindle Fire HDX comes with a 7-inch screen and 8.9 inches. Resolution of 7-inch display is 1920 x 1200 pixels (resolution – 323 ppi) compared with 1280 x 800 pixels in the previous generation tablet, whereas the display 8.9 inches – 2560 x 1600 pixels (339 ppi).
Both models are equipped with front-facing camera. In addition, Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 has a primary camera of 8 MP. In all models, there are stereo speakers and technology Dolby.

The battery life is as follows: up to 11 hours in a mixed mode, or up to 17 hours of reading for a tablet with a 7 inch screen and up to 12 and 18 hours, respectively, for the 8.9-inch tablet.
