In February, Samsung ceases to manufacture Galaxy Alpha – Ferra

The company will discontinue production of the smartphone Samsung Galaxy Alpha in early February 2015. The reason lies in the “exhaustion of materials” necessary for the production model. Instead, Samsung Galaxy Alpha now focuses on the production of a new series of smartphones – Galaxy A, which are logical successors Galaxy Alpha. All this according to South Korean resource ETNews.


According to analysts, in a series of smartphones Galaxy A have a greater potential than the Galaxy Alpha. They offer users a middle-class device at a reasonable price, which are represented by different models. For example, the debut model A-series for the South Korean market will be the Galaxy A5, which at $ 361 is positioned as a “premium model.” The device is already available in China and Russia.

Recall that the Galaxy A5 has a 5-inch display with a resolution of 720p, quad-core Snapdragon 410, 2 GB of RAM, battery on a 2300 mAh battery and a pair of cameras – 13 megapixel and 5 megapixel main front. Also presented a series of Galaxy A more affordable model Galaxy A3, and will soon go on sale model Galaxy A7.
