Lumia 950 XL against LG V10 against the Galaxy Note5 against iPhone 6s Plus: voting for the camera – http://json.tv/ (press release) (Register)

blind shootout

Some people like westerns. And some – shoot from smartphones. Of course, the cameras. That is, to take pictures, taking constituency. Whose shot is well and clearly? Who is the sure shot? Time to find out right now. For this we have four who want to pass the barrier.

PHABLET – the most popular phones last few years. Because the test for comparison cameras we picked up some of the best (and most popular) copies of the previous year: Lumia 950 XL, LG V10, Galaxy Note5 and iPhone 6s Plus . Each of them is allowed to make five “shots” in a variety of conditions.

But first, a few words about the participants.

Microsoft Lumia 950 XL has an impressive technology PureView and a large sensor is 20 megapixels, a wide aperture to F / 1.9 with a Carl Zeiss lens and optical image stabilization are applied.

Apple iPhone 6s Plus Score First camera that can shoot video in 2160p. Its sensor is 12 megapixels has an automatic image stabilization and a relatively narrow aperture to F / 2.2.

The cameras have Samsung Galaxy Note5 and LG V10 are quite similar to their 16 megapixel sensors and automatic image stabilization, but they have different aperture: 1.8 from 1.9 at the LG and Samsung (exactly the same as that of Lumia).

We cut the photos to scale 4: 3, to equalize the chances and that was what to compare. Otherwise, the wide-angle camera would be too conspicuous.

# 1. Best Picture daytime. Stage 1

Lumia 950 XL , LG V10, Galaxy Note5 and iPhone 6s Plus

The first batch of photos was taken out of the hands on the ground level. Try to look at the text STOP sign, to assess the sharpness of tree branches, as well as look at how it looks gray building in the background.

# 2. Best daytime photos. Step 2

Lumia 950 XL , LG V10, Galaxy Note5 and iPhone 6s Plus 2

Here’s another scene filmed from the balcony using a tripod. The abundance of highlights and shadows adds camera operation. Let exhibit dynamic range. It is of great importance.

# 3. The best night photo

 Lumia 950 XL, LG V10, Galaxy Note5 and iPhone 6s Plus 3

Again, use a tripod. Photos taken after sunset. And what we see at once? Compared to the daytime photographs image quality has dropped by an order.

# 4. Featured Videos day

Let’s go back to the day and forced to work in ultra-high resolution cameras. Or at 2160P. Videos were also shot at ground level using a tripod.

Lumia 950 XL, LG V10, Galaxy Note5 and iPhone 6s Plus 4

Keep in mind that video 2160P is equivalent to 8 megapixels, a complete resolution of previous models of iPhone.

# 5. The best night video

Again, shooting video in 2160P, but after sunset. Photos in the dark is difficult to handle, and especially video. Large shutter speed requires maximum CPU load handling.

And now the most interesting – all pictures are not signed. They are only the letters A, B, C or D. We begin blind vote. Which phone do you think, does a better job under different lighting conditions? What better records video? And some of them – for the worst-case scenario? We arrange a secret ballot for a few days. Then we compare it with the actual results, which showed the camera smartphones Apple IPhone 6s Plus , Microsoft Lumia 950 XL , Samsung Galaxy Note5 and LG V10 . The results will be known by the end of the week.

Stay tuned for updates.
