With everything going virtual these days, including books, an e-book reader becomes quite a prized possession for us bookworms. If you are planning to invest in an e-book reader and are confused between the Barnes & Noble Nook and the Amazon Kindle, read on to help you make the choice.
There, Äôs a reason why the Kindle has managed to establish a name for itself in the e-book reader space, even though technically, Amazon, Äôs not exactly a bookstore, more of a book broker. Sure, the purist in you would lean towards the B & N Nook, because after all, Barnes & Noble is a bookstore, and quite a large one at that.
But in terms of variety, the Kindle will give you far more, with over 200,000 exclusive titles and many more e-books to offer than the Nook. Both these e-book readers start at $ 79 for the basic versions, but while the basic Nook is ad-free, you, Äôd have to shell out an additional $ 20 to avoid ads in your Kindle.
The next versions are the Kindle Paperwhite and Nook Simple Touch with GlowLight, which cosr $ 129 and $ 119 respectively. The former has a slightly higher resolution, as well as better specs overall. Both these devices have 6-inch displays, but we lean towards the Kindle for not having any physical buttons and for letting us turn the page with a simple tap on the screen.
