Samsung has promised to upgrade the Galaxy S4 and Note 2 to Lollipop – 3DNews

In the Finnish version of the site Samsung.com Korean smartphone users have found the company’s plans to update some of their mobile phones to new versions of operating systems. In particular, the firmware based on Android 5.0 Lollipop, according to this official information, will be released for sufficiently old solutions.

The list can be found planshetofony Galaxy Note 4, Note 3 and Note 2. It is interesting that the last the device was released in September 2012. In Samsung usually stick to the rule under which support their flagship devices are not more than two years, bringing two significant updates. But for the Galaxy Note 2 has been more than two years, and the release of Lollipop nobody waited – well, it’s a pleasant surprise.

But the good news does not end there. For example, Galaxy S5 Mini is in the list of devices, update waiting Lollipop. The same can be said about the Samsung Galaxy Alpha and Galaxy S4. Although close to the Galaxy S5 is written that there is no information about the update, do not worry – once the updates are promised even for S4, Note 2 and S5 Mini, then the S5 should get the firmware.

As noted, the information on such a large change in the policy of Samsung came from the Finnish branch of the company that is not typical enough. Either it is confirmed by other departments of the Korean giant, or will soon be refuted. I would hope that we are not talking about an error of Finnish employees Samsung.
