Samsung has updated the tablet Galaxy Tab S2 9.7 and 8.0 – PC Week / RE

Samsung has released an improved version of the tablet Galaxy Tab S2 9.7 and Galaxy Tab S2 8.0, the previous generation which was introduced in July 2015 the main change was the refusal of its own chipset Exynos 5433 in favor of Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 (the former name – the Snapdragon 620). This solution combines eight cores clocked at up to 1.8 GHz (quartets ARM Cortex-A72 and ARM Cortex-A53), a graphics accelerator Adreno 510, and a cellular modem X8 LTE, providing download speeds of up to 300 Mbit / s.

The exterior design and the rest of the specifications remain the same. Tablets Galaxy Tab S2 9.7 and 8.0 are equipped with a screen diagonal of 9.7 inches and 8 with a resolution of 2048 × 1536 (QXGA). The devices are equipped with 8-megapixel rear camera with support for recording and QHD 2,1-megapixel the front. The presence of 3 GB of RAM, 32 GB of non-volatile memory, microSD slot, Wi-Fi adapters 802.11a / b / g / n / ac MIMO (2,4 / 5 GHz) and Bluetooth 4.1 and a fingerprint reader.

Galaxy Tab S2 9.7 is equipped with a battery at 5870 mAh and Galaxy Tab S2 8.0 – 4000 mAh. As an operating system “out of the box” use Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow. The new model Galaxy Tab S2 9.7 only with Wi-Fi is estimated at 449 euros, while the LTE-version under – 549 euros. 8 inch Model refreshed only in the version with LTE and costs 479 euros.
