Samsung is planning a major upgrade for the artificial intelligence personal assistant, which will be built into the company’s new flagship — Galaxy S8, according to the newspaper The Wall Street Journal, citing sources.

AI will be similar to Siri — the personal assistant in Apple’s smartphone. The newspaper’s sources say that the prototype can be modified.
according to the newspaper, in October, the company acquired a startup Viv Labs. New personal assistant will be developed based on the technology of Viv Labs, which are “significantly different” from its competitors, said chief technology officer of the mobile division Samsung Injong Ri, WSJ reports.
In connection with the withdrawal from production of the smartphone Note 7, the company will have more time for revision Galaxy S8.
