The company Samsung Electronics announced a new tablet – Galaxy Tab S2. The series includes two models of Galaxy Tab S2 9.7 and Galaxy Tab S2 8.0 inch displays with 9.7 and 8 inches. The plates continue last year’s series of Samsung Galaxy Tab S and received more than “premium” design with metal frame like the Galaxy Note 4 and Galaxy Alpha. They have also become the thinnest tablet Samsung – the thickness reaches only 5.6 mm.
The plates are equipped with displays, made by technology Super AMOLED, a resolution of QXGA (2048 x 1536 pixels). It is worth noting that the manufacturer has decided to go with his already traditional 16:10 aspect ratio to 4: 3. As a result, the aspect ratio and resolution of them is the same as in modern iPad Air and iPad mini.
As with the predecessors, Galaxy Tab S2 got a built-in fingerprint reader button Home. Work is performed under the operating system Android 5.0 Lollipop with a fresh version of the proprietary shell TouchWiz. The foundations also undergone an upgrade – now lies at the basis of eight-processor Exynos 5433 instead of Exynos 5420 / Snapdragon 800 in the original Galaxy Tab S.
The plates are presented in versions with built-in flash memory 32 or 64 GB, both expandable microSD memory card of 128 GB. Other characteristics are presented 3 GB of RAM, 8-megapiksalnoy main camera, 2.1-megapixel front camera, support for LTE (also a model that supports only Wi-Fi). Basic communication features include Wi-Fi (802.11 a / b / g / n / ac), GPS with GLONASS and Bluetooth 4.1. Galaxy Tab S2 9.7 is equipped with a 5870 mAh battery on and Galaxy Tab S2 8.0 – 4000 mAh.
Both versions of the Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 will be available in August, the official recommended retail price has not yet announced. Approximate prices are:
- Galaxy Tab S2 8.0 Wi-Fi: € 399
- Galaxy Tab S2 8.0 LTE: 469 euros
- Galaxy Tab S2 9.7 Wi-Fi: € 499
- Galaxy Tab S2 9.7 LTE: 569 euros
