Amazon requested Taiwanese ODM-electronics manufacturers to deliver more than 1000000 7-inch tablet Kindle Fire HD in the month of October and November to meet the anticipated demand, according to sources from the supply chain. This writes Digitimes.
Amazon introduced the 7-inch Kindle Fire HD entry level at the end of September. The device goes on sale in the U.S. at a price of $ 139 for the 8GB version and $ 169 for the 16GB version at the beginning of October, the sources said.
As expected, the 7-inch Kindle Fire HD will provide a high level of sales in October and November, mainly due to competitive pricing.
