Two Mexican airlines are forbidden to carry on Board their aircraft smartphones Galaxy Note 7 due to the risk of explosion of the batteries. About leading the country’s air carriers Interjet and Aeromexico announced on their official websites.
Gadgets brand Samsung Galaxy Note 7 is prohibited on all flights and may not be in the aircraft either as baggage or as cargo, the report said Interjet. In Aeromexico also noted that the ban was imposed in accordance with the decree of the Ministry of transportation and a manufacturer of smartphones.
Mexico was forbidden to carry a Galaxy Note 7 in the planes after Israel, USA, Austria, Finland, Canada, Germany and Japan.
In September, the company Samsung Electronics announced the suspension of sales and recall of smartphones due to spontaneously exploding batteries. Later, the representatives of the brand stated that the defect is resolved, and began to replace previously purchased smartphones this model to the new one. However, spontaneous combustion and explosions are repeated, so on 11 October the company announced a complete halt of production of the Galaxy Note 7.
According to analysts in South Korea, the total losses of the company due to the cessation of sales of smart phones will be about 7 trillion won, or 6.17 billion U.S. dollars.
