Samsung Galaxy S8 will have a fullscreen design – ITbukva (press release)

Samsung Galaxy S8 will have a fullscreen designRumors surrounding the upcoming Galaxy S8 Samsung continue to mount. Earlier this week we heard that the flagship device will have two sizes and is equipped with stereo speakers, and a separate report, Samsung claims that they will follow Apple and Motorola, by removing the headphone port in favor of USB Type-C. In the latest from Bloomberg says that the Galaxy S8 will have a screen on the entire front panel, and the virtual home button will be hidden within the glass, according to ITbukva.com.

Unnamed sources, news claim that the new handsets will feature displays using the technology of organic light-emitting diodes (OLED) – as Galaxy S7 Edge. Removal of home button will allow you to make higher the ratio of screen-to-body, and that means a larger screen within the same device size.

Bloomberg did not mention the fingerprint reader, so it is unclear whether the company can turn it into a virtual home button in the display.

Xiaomi, claimed to be the first company with full-screen phone with their Mi Mix concept developed by the designer Philippe Starck, in which the display covers 91 percent of the front of the case. It is only available in a limited quantity and has a fingerprint reader on the back. Xiaomi Mi ultrasonic 5s has a fingerprint scanner under the front glass, but it should be noted that it is not integrated into the display.

Samsung is reportedly oriented to produce S8 in March, but it can be delayed until April, as the company introduces more stringent testing procedures in the Wake of the failure Note.
