Leak: Samsung Galaxy S7 lit in benchmark – Mail.Ru

According to the results of Geekbench, Samsung is testing a new flagship, at least in two versions: with LTE and without, in both cases using Exynos 8890 processor, code-named Mongoose. The version with LTE is equipped with 4 GB of RAM, and without – 3 GB. The latest model is gaining more points because of the frequency of the processor – 1.5 GHz, while the LTE-version of the smartphone, according to the benchmark, clocked at 1.38 GHz.

It should be noted that the technical characteristics gadgets may well may be nefinalnymi since before the release of the smartphone have to wait a long time – the recent launch of Samsung Galaxy S Times for the exhibition MWC, which this year will take place in late February. By the way, this year things can change – a number of sources previously indicated that the company could show a novelty in December of this year, thereby moving the release cycle flagships for an earlier date. Though these data and uncertain, we should not forget that Note 5 and Galaxy S6 edge + were presented a month earlier than is usual, so that this situation is quite possible.

Earlier, the Korean media have found that Samsung plans to move to a new principle of creating gadgets that involves the breakdown of whole device into modules, each of which is designed separately. The advantage of the new approach is the ability to quickly convert one or another element of the gadget at any point in development, as opposed to the current method used phased design, when after a certain stage of the work does not change already completed and approved elements of the gadget. It is a new solution for the design, as mentioned earlier, will allow Samsung to accelerate the process of bringing the Galaxy S7 until the final status faster than usual.

It should be noted, is not the first leak the future of the flagship Samsung – we’ve heard that the presumptive Galaxy S7 will receive, along with a proprietary solution, a top 820 Qualcomm Snapdragon processor (MSM8996), which has already been known for a number of details, including the use of cognitive platform Zeroth, announced in 2013. Last chipset allows to search for viruses and anticipate user desires. The appearance in the Geekbench versions with LTE and without it indicate that Samsung may still return to Qualcomm’s solutions for individual markets, in particular the United States. In addition, the new product can get the iris scanner. Which of these will be implemented in the Galaxy S7, if at all, know for sure yet soon.
