Processors smartphones Samsung Galaxy S7 and Apple iPhone 6s have been tested in Geekbench – 3DNews

Before the premiere of the smartphone Samsung Galaxy S7 stay another month, but the popular Chinese social network Weibo already appeared fresh performance measurement results of a device based on the chip Exynos 8890 (also known as Exynos M1), produced with the help of popular benchmark Geekbench. According to some reports, it Exynos 8890, containing eight 64-bit processor cores ARMx8, will serve as the hardware basis for the future of the Korean flagship.

It should be noted that earlier this processor has already been seen in Geekbench, and then the result was in 1336 and 4824 points in multi-core and single-core configurations, respectively, which is slightly larger than that used in the Galaxy S6 Exynos 7420. However, then its clock frequency, apparently, has been underestimated up to 1.4 GHz. Now, according to the source, the test was carried out at a nominal value of 2.4 GHz, and eventually scored an impressive Exynos 8890 in 2304 and 8038 points respectively.

This means that if the Samsung Galaxy S7 really get Exynos 8890 then quite naturally it would be the most powerful smartphones on the market. However, if we talk about it until a future time, its main competitor Apple iPhone 6s-based dual-core 1.8 GHz SoC A9 is already on sale in 12 countries of the “first wave” and also had time to “light up” in Geekbench. And show them the result of a single core reached 2522 “parrot”, ie surpassed that of the Exynos 8890, not to mention the Exynos 7420.

The table prepared by our foreign colleagues from AppleInsider, it follows that the increase in power from Apple A9 towards the Apple A8, installs on the iPhone 6/6 Plus, more than 50%. However, in the multi-core test, the new “apple” platform was not able to catch up with the Exynos 8890, although easily leveled the “score” with the Exynos 7420.
